Rare Vintage 1930s | S/M | Molyneux Couture museum-worthy golden yellow coat

Molyneux is known largely as an expert of cut and tailoring, keeping his style and silhouette to a sleek minimum, using quality fabrics and techniques.

Both Balmain and Dior were protégés under Molyneux before going on to begin their own Houses.

This skilfully tailored coat is constructed of a beautiful wool in ochre, with gorgeous hand finishings, leather-backed self-belt and 14 black buttons down the centre for that perfect contrast.
The sumptuous jet black silk lining is sewn in by hand and features the Molyneux label out of his London shop location (opened 1932, specializing in day + sportswear).

It is the Molyneux gowns and evening attire which you will see come up for sale every once in a while, but his daywear is far more rare.

This is an exceptional piece of fashion history which will only increase in value, and make a fantastic addition to an enthusiasts wardrobe, a collectors archive, or museum.

Excellent overall condition, with two small holes - left breast, and right thigh.
